Color Is Key. If I were decorating a modern beach home I would start by painting the walls soft natural colors inspired by the world around my home. By using a cool aqua, an eggshell white, a sandy tan or a light celery green to create a calming serene environment. If you don't like a lot of color you could paint the majority of the walls white while having one wall pop in aqua or green. Accent walls are very popular in modern decorating and they make your home feel less bland.
A-Frame Beach Homes. These homes are easily recognized by their steep roof that forms the appearance of an "A" - Hence the name. This house plan was originally designed to allow snow to fall to the ground instead of resting on the house frame throughout the colder months. However, this is certainly a beach home that can cater to tropical homes as well. A-Frame beach homes are typically designed to have high ceilings and tall window, and usually incorporate a smaller upper living space such as a loft. This floor plan is very open yet cozy.
